BrokerNow is CaixaBank's stock trading app, a specialized environment built for active investors to trade and manage their investments across national and international markets. Users can trade shares, warrants, and ETFs, check their portfolio's value and manage their orders at any time, and personalize their workspace with watchlists and favorite securities.

Created as a full redesign of the bank's previous trading experience with input from more than a hundred investors, it brings all the market information an investor needs into a single, fast environment, and it is accessible directly from the main CaixaBank app.

The app gives active investors everything they need to follow the markets and operate with speed and precision. Its main features include:

Trading in Shares, Warrants, and ETFs

Investors can buy and sell shares, warrants, and ETFs across the main national and international markets, from the IBEX 35 to indexes such as the DAX, CAC 40, FTSE 100, Dow Jones, and Nasdaq 100.

Portfolio and Order Management

A dedicated wallet section gives investors a detailed view of their investments, assets, and orders, with quotes, returns, and portfolio valuation available at any time.

Interactive Charts and Indicators

The app includes interactive charts with more than thirty technical indicators, helping investors analyze securities and support their decision-making.

Predictive Securities Search

An advanced predictive search engine lets investors find securities quickly as they type.

Market News

A dedicated news section keeps investors up to date with developments in the economy, finance, and the markets.

Personalized Workspace

Investors can tailor the app to their needs, organizing watchlists and favorite securities in a customizable environment.

Biometric Access

The app supports biometric login through fingerprint and Face ID for fast, secure access.

Light and Dark Mode

Investors can switch between light and dark mode for comfortable viewing in any setting.

As Senior Android Engineer at Indra, CaixaBank's technology partner, I worked on the BrokerNow Android app. Unlike other projects, I did not interact with the client directly; the team worked through an internal Scrum Master who reported to me, which made me the reference point for the work on the Indra side.

Development and Architecture

I contributed to the development of the Android app, applying Clean Architecture and the MVP pattern to keep the codebase scalable and maintainable, and delivering features across the trading domain.

Internal Team Delivery

BrokerNow was developed entirely in-house, built 100% by Indra, with its release handled through CaixaBank. I did not deal with the client myself: communication flowed from the client to our Scrum Master and from the Scrum Master to me, which kept me as the anchor for the team's day-to-day work on the Indra side.

Code Quality and Reliability

As with any banking and trading product, the work followed a rigorous process to maintain quality. Because financial apps are highly sensitive, every change had to clear strict compliance and reliability standards to keep the app dependable for investors operating in real markets.
